Giro - Other Markets

A selection of other bets 

I've done the Favourites and who I think will win the Sprints jersey and the KOM jersey. Here I take a look at some of the other markets that are available such as Team Classification, young riders and more. 

There's a lot of different bets available for the Giro and I've taken a look at the ones I'm interested in. I'm not saying by any means back them all, but have a look through, see which ones you agree with and stake accordingly! I may add some more bets here as the race goes on and we start to get a picture of who's going well and who's not. 

Top 10 Finish

I have already given Ben O'Connor the big up above, I think he is capable of stepping up from the 12th place he was sitting in last year before crashing out, and I think the 5/1 is a superb price. 2pts at 5/1

I've also given Ion Izagirre the big up in my main preview, I think he's good value for a top 10 at 7/4. 2pts at 7/4

Davide Formolo and Rafal Majka also look ok at evens and 5/6 but I'm going to hold off on them

Overall Head to Heads

Based on my general thoughts in my overall preview, here are my overall head to head picks. 

Ben O'Connor to beat Vuillermoz - 3pts at 8/11

Mollema to beat Majka - 2pts at evens. Mollema has a 100% record over Majka in head-to-heads in GC competitions

King of the Mountains Head-to-Head 

Formolo to beat Vuillermoz and Masnada to beat Polanc - 2pts at 11/10

Makja to beat Zakarin - 3pts at 5/6. Majka is probably in better form of the two and will be near the front on a lot of the major climbs I think, even if picking up the 5th or 6th places out on the road. He tends to roll off the front and take points even when it seems pointless, he knows slowly, slowly, bang can win this competition.. so I think he'll be grabbing a lot more points than Zak who probably won't care. 

Points Competition Head-to-Head 

Démare to beat Ackermann - 2pts at 5/4, not even sure Ackermann will finish. Hoping Démare will. 

Cimolai to beat Canola and Nizzolo to beat Modolo - 2pts at 0.95/1

Add Dumoulin to beat Jungels to make it a 7/4 treble - 2pts
